GS-272 is a hydrophobic product manufactured from hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 150 m²/g, treated with dimethyldichlorosilane. This process converts the surface hydrophilic silanol groups into hydrophobic siloxane groups, imparting excellent water repellency and moisture resistance.
Its primary function is as an efficient thickener and thixotropic agent, significantly improving the rheological properties of systems while preventing sedimentation and sagging.
